The Motor Coach Industries MC-12 was produced at the request of Greyhound. It looked similar to the MC-9 Special with many of the same parts and features of the newer A-Series. Between 1991 and 1998 a total of 1,411 MC-12 coaches were manufactured. In addition to Greyhound a small number of other companies also purchased the MC-12.
