The Galactica was built by the Twelve Colonies under Commander Adama and was thought to be the only flagship to survive the Thousand Yahren War with the Cylons. It was constructed to carry a crew of 500, including pilots of the Colonial Vipers. Despite the threat of the Cylons and depleting resources, Commander Adama gave the surviving crew and refugees hope to find the Thirteenth Colony that was settled on the planet Earth.

Eaglemoss has worked closely with members of the modern Galactica VFX team to ensure that the models in this series are as detailed and accurate as possible. The accompanying magazine profiles each ship and features interviews with the show's creators including Ronald Moore. This series will feature models from both the classic and 2004 television series.
