The Cylon Raider, also known as the Sparrow, is a sleek and deadly Strike Interceptor used by the Cylons. It can speed past its enemies' ships and hunt down its targets. These new Raiders are cybernetic and capable of being “reborn”, just like the Cylons, into new Raiders after being destroyed. The Raider is made of a complex system of organs, veins and biological fluids inside the main body that enables the "reborn" ability. This provides the Cylons with a distinct tactical advantage in essence that every time a Cylon Raider is destroyed, it is reborn slightly improved having "learned" through each life-cycle it undergoes.

Eaglemoss has worked closely with members of the modern Galactica VFX team to ensure that the models in this series are as detailed and accurate as possible. The accompanying magazine profiles each ship and features interviews with the show's creators including Ronald Moore. This series will feature models from both the classic and 2004 television series.
