Founded in 1948, the HHFD serves the residential and rural community in the northwest portion of the town of Onondaga in central New York. The HHFD's 1988 E-One Sidemount Pumper, E3 is the first engine due at all in-district structure fires and runs back-up to out of district calls as needed. With a short turning radius this truck is extremely flexible and maneuverable. It carries a crew of eight, a 750-gallon water tank, a 1,500 g.p.m. pump, carries 2,000 feet of 5-inch hose and is equipped with an Automated External Defibrillator.
