James Bond appeared with an Aston Martin DB5 for the first time in the 1964 film Goldfinger, the third film the series. Bond’s DB5 included machine guns hidden behind the front turning lights, a bullet shield behind the rear window, a passenger ejector seat, tire slashers that extend from the center of the wheels, smoke screen and other modifications. In the 1965 film Thunderball, Bond again uses the specially equipped DB5 to escape his pursuers.
